Thaddeus Kinman Wynn, III's Obituary
THADDEUS KINMAN WYNN III “Thad” 46, died Wednesday morning after a long and courageous battle with ALS. He is a graduate of Memphis Catholic High School, and went on to earn both a bachelor and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Memphis. He was an active member of the Republican Party and for many years a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry. Close to his heart also were the Ole Miss Rebels and Memphis Grizzlies. Closer still are his band of friends whose bonds were forged on the fields of Thanksgiving Day football games, and have continued until today. Thad tirelessly and lovingly devoted caring service to his Mother and Father throughout their lives. Thad never refused to lend a helping hand to anyone. Thad was loyal in his beliefs and his concern for others. Thad’s warmth, generosity, his infectious smile, and loving “goofiness” will be remembered by all who knew him. The son of the late Juliette Carter Read and Thaddeus Kinman Wynn II, Thad leaves his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Carter and Jonah Grace Wynn; his sister Noelle Wynn Shirley, husband Adam; and his adored nieces and nephew, Alexandra, Gabrielle, and Nickolaus Shirley. He leaves also his beloved dog, Dixie. All are invited to join in celebrating Thad’s life at the visitation Friday evening at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Avenue. The family suggests that memorial gifts be sent to the ALS Association of West Tennessee.
