Coach Terry Tippett was not only one of Tennessee’s “All Time Greatest High School Basketball Coaches,” he was renowned nationally as well. In route to winning six TSSAA State Championships, several of his teams were among the highest rated teams in the USA. Terry was more than just an extraordinary coach though, he was an exceptional person. He was not only a champion in basketball, but also in the game of life. We are all better for having known him. He was a truly great coach but also a great man.

My 2 children were so fortunate to be students and fans of the basketball team during the 4 championship years Terry enjoyed at White Station in the early 2000’s. We were all inspired by Coach’s attitude and mentorship to so many kids in those years. It was wonderful to follow his teams to Murfreesboro and cheer them to numerous wins. God has gained a good one in Terry Tippett.
