Terry D. Phillips' Obituary
Terry D. Phillips, (66) was born June 1, 1949 and went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2016 in Crossville, TN. In 1967 he joined the U.S. Army. He served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. A longtime Memphian, he worked at the VAMC as a vocational counselor until his retirement. He will always be remembered as a faithful follower of Christ, loyal husband, and loving dad. He is survived by his wife Gail, daughter Lacey, her husband Cameron Sexton and their daughter Greer Rowe Sexton. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Floretta Phillips, his sisters Betanya Vanlandingham and Lisa Saylor, and son in law, Jason McRae. Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 2pm.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
