Terry Elton Merritt's Obituary
Terry Elton Merritt, age 76, of Bartlett passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Methodist Hospital North-Memphis. He was a retired Sergeant with Memphis Police Department and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Merritt was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and is survived by his step-son, Lester Walker, Jr. of Bartlett; sister, Bobbie L. Wheeler; step-grandchildren, Wendy Belt and Felecia Coulter; step-great grandchildren, Valarie, Isabella Coulter and Arden Belt; sister-in-law, Paula Jane Tillman; nephews and nieces, T.J., Jennifer Tillman, Jennifer Jones, Ray Teague and Sandy McBride. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 8, 2011 with a funeral service to be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the entombment to follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum-Memphis. The family has requested any memorials be sent to The Amercian Cancer Society. Services are entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN “Behind the Stone Wall”
