Terry K. Kitchens' Obituary
Terry K. Kitchens passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 62 in Dallas, TX.
Terry was born on December 12, 1963, to Ronald N. Kitchens and Kay McMullin Jones in San Bernardino, CA. The family relocated to their hometown of Memphis, TN in 1967, where he graduated from Germantown High School as a member of the football team. He went on to study at both the University of Memphis and Ole Miss.
Throughout his life, he remained a devout fan of pro and college football, especially the Oakland Raiders (now Las Vegas Raiders) and the University of Memphis Tigers. He was able to turn his love of cooking into a career, spending many years working in the Memphis restaurant industry. Later on, he moved on to the tire sales industry in Arkansas. Always a generous person in his lifetime, he went on to donate his organs, eyes, and tissue.
He is survived by his mother, Kay McMullin Jones (Steve) of Memphis, TN; his father Ronald N. Kitchens (Jill) of Bartlett, TN; his uncle, Richard Kitchens (Janice) of Bybee, TN; his great uncle, Bruce Kitchens of Nesbit, MS; his children, Gracie Kitchens of Memphis, TN and Cooper Kitchens of Fort Smith, AR; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his many beloved pets.
To honor Terry’s love for animals, the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County, or a charity of your choice.
Services for Terry will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive family and friends for a visitation an hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
