Terry Mack Hopkins' Obituary
Terry Mack Hopkins, 74, went to his Glory with the Lord early Tuesday, October 26, 2010 surrounded by his loved ones after his long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Walnut, MS to John and Bama Hopkins. He is survived by his one true love Dorothy Nelson Hopkins; daughter, Terry Marie (Kevin) Schiele, and his only grandson, Cody Schiele. He is also survived by his brothers, Tommy (Thelma), Gene (Martha Frank) and one sister, Elizabeth Ann (J.W.) Rainey, and his sister-in-law Beverly (Eddie) Perkins, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Hopkins was a member of Raleigh Assembly of God. He loved hunting and farming. He was a champion basketball player at Walnut High School. He was a hard worker until he fell ill. Mr. Hopkins was a devoted husband and beloved father and grandfather. He will be missed, but his family knows that he is in the infinite bliss of God’s loving embrace. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Ms. Minnie Gale and Dr. David Weber and staff. Special thanks to the Methodist Hospice and their staff. The visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 29 at Harmony Baptist Church in Walnut, MS.
