Terry Kropp Fisher's Obituary
Terry Kropp Fisher, age 78, died on New Years Eve 2025 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown after a long battle with cancer. She was born November 11, 1947 to Shirley and Leonard Kropp in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1970 with a double major in French and Spanish from the College of Literature, Science & Arts and with a teaching certificate from the College of Education. She married Randall K. Fisher in 1970, and they were happily married for 55 years until her death. She taught Spanish at Vincennes University, and then moved to Lancaster, Ohio, when her husband changed jobs. She was blessed with three wonderful children in Lancaster whom she all taught Spanish from an early age. After moving to Germantown, Tennessee in 1988, she returned to teaching French and Spanish at Central and Melrose High Schools. She and her husband loved to travel and visited almost all of the U.S. states, most of the Canadian provinces, 25 countries of Europe, as well as Japan, Peru, and the Caribbean islands. She is survived by her husband, Randall, their three children and their spouses, and two grandchildren: Meagan and Michael Barnett of Resaca, Georgia; Bethany, Grey and Fred Niell III of Tampa, Florida; and Ryan, Madelyn, and Julie Fisher of Manassas, Virginia. She was laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in a private ceremony on January 5th, 2026.
