Ted Melvin Hall's Obituary
Ted Melvin Hall, 77, of Piperton, TN was received into the arms of our Lord on June 2, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Cubie Hall and his brother, Don Hall. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine “Puddin” Hall, whom he loved more than life, his son David C. Hall (Sheri) of Cantonment, FL, daughter Robin H. Ramos (Russell “Haj”) of Ashburn, VA, and a sister Tommie King of Memphis, TN. He had an endearing love for his wonderful, smart and talented grandchildren, Ryan and Sidney Ramos and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ted was born November 18, 1940 in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and graduated from the University of Memphis (TN). He joined the Memphis Police Department where he served for 10 years. He then joined the United States Secret Service in 1971 until his retirement in 1997. After his retirement, Ted and Puddin traveled the world and were able to walk where Jesus walked. Ted, a devout Catholic, attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for many years and was a Eucharist Minister for 25 years. He was a member of The Equestrian Order Of The Holy Sepulcher Of Jerusalem for close to 15 years. His favorite hobby was growing orchids for over 30 years. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 7 from 9am until 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8151 Poplar Avenue in Germantown. The Funeral mass will commence at 10am. The burial will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Memphis. The legacy that Ted left his family was one of great faith, love of travel and love for his fellow man. We are so proud to call him an incredible husband, dad, granddaddy, friend and now Angel in Heaven watching over us all. May God Bless you all and we are so grateful for all your love and support you have given our family.
