Sylvia Oltremari Baioni's Obituary
Sylvia Oltremari Baioni, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at her home in Germantown TN after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Louis Baioni, and her brothers; Raymond Oltremari (Virginia) of Southaven, MS and Michael Oltremari of Greenville, MS. She is also survived by her children, Sharon & Paul Baioni of Memphis, TN; and Richard (Beth) Baioni of Nashville, TN. Other survivors include her grandchildren; Dominic & Justin Pagoria, both of Memphis, TN; Lena and Rachel Baioni; Melissa & Allison Baioni of Nashville TN and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silvio & Desolina Oltremari of Greenville, MS and brother Ronnie Oltremari. Her devoted caregivers include Beverly Brown and her staff: Ashley Richardson, Celestine Blakely, Dekandis Cohen and Latasha Watkins. The family wishes to express their affection & deepest appreciation to these wonderful ladies for their constant, loving care.Sylvia was born in January 6, 1935, in Greenville MS where she graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School, before attending Sienna College in Memphis, TN. She was a member of Madonna Circle and during her time as a member, she served as co-chairman of the Madonna Circle Antique Show and other Catholic organizations. She was also a long-time member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Memphis. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be deeply missed. Her family is comforted by the sure and certain hope of the resurrection unto eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ.A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church, on Monday, December 3, 2018. Visitation with the family will be from 9-10AM, followed by Mass at 10AM. A reception will follow in the Clunan Center. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorials for Sylvia Baioni may be sent to St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. white Station Rd., Memphis TN 38117, or a charity of the donor’s choice.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
