Susan Fisher's Obituary
Susan Mahorney Fisher, 66, passed away suddenly March 15, 2016. She was born June 7, 1949 in Memphis, TN. She graduated from White Station High School and attended the University of Tennessee until becoming a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, where she worked for 47 years. She loved her career and was an excellent flight attendant. She was a selfless and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed traveling with her family and always looked forward to her annual excursions with her two best friends, Carol and Karen. Her love of motherhood was evident every day as she devoted herself lovingly and selflessly to her daughter as well as her husband, family and friends. She was committed and loyal to all those she cared for, always expressed a genuine interest in others and could light up a room with her big heart, bright spirit and contagious laugh. She was a lifetime member of Lindenwood Christian Church. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Ruth and Jim Mahorney. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard H. Fisher; daughter, Taylor Ann Fisher; sister, Ann Erwin (Mike); and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m., Friday March 18 and funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at Lindenwold Christian Church. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Lindenwold Christian Church Foundation, 2400 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112.
