Suresh Kumar's Obituary
SURESH ANANDA KUMAR, 60, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 with his family by his side after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on April 20, 1953 in Chennai, India, he was the son of Ananda and Visalam Kumar. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Brillowski), his two children, Jacqueline and Justin, his mother, Visalam, and his two brothers, Rajesh and Satish. He was preceded in death by his father, Ananda, and his uncle, Rajaram. After graduating from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Suresh left his loving parents and brothers to come to the United States to pursue his MBA in 1974. After graduating, he decided to start a life for himself in the United States. He met his wife, Joyce, while he was working in Milwaukee and they started a family in 1986. Suresh was a true family man. What made him happiest in life was spending time with his wife and children, whether he was at home or traveling on business. He loved fine dining, playing golf, watching sports in his “den”, going on vacations, and providing his family with anything they wanted and needed. Suresh always had such a positive attitude about life, especially during his battle against cancer. Suresh faced every problem in life with an unwillingness to give up, and he will be greatly missed. Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation Service in memory of Suresh that will be held at Memorial Park in Memphis, TN on Monday, May 20 from 5-7 p.m. A private Hindu cremation ceremony will be held on Tuesday morning for family members.
