Sue Graham Thomas' Obituary
Algia Sue Graham Thomas, 87, longtime resident of Millington, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Sue was born in Sparta, Tennessee on February 19, 1938 to the late Ruth Finley Cope Graham and Thomas Hershel Graham, Jr. She graduated from White County High School in 1956 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tennesse Tech and her Master’s Degree from Memphis State. She was a retired teacher at Nicholas Blackwell and later called Bartlett High School for over twenty years with Shelby County Schools. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church in Millington and actively involved with the Sunday School in earlier years and choir and costumes as well. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Edgar L. Thomas in 2009, and her brother, Charles Royce Graham in 2020. She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Lynne Rinehart and Susan Roney Reynolds (Terry); her grandchildren, Matthew Robert Roney (Katie) of Lynn Haven, Florida; Michelle Roney Guinn (Cage) of Covington, Tennessee; and Thomas Rogers Rinehart; and nine great-grandchildren, Mason Cage, Christopher James, Anna Lynnette, Edgar Andrew, Zachary Robert, Savannah Claire, Willow Marie, Lily Jean and Theo Dean Roney.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis and a Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Big Creek Cemetery in Millington, Tennessee.
