Sudie Cook Davis' Obituary
Sudie Cook Davis, 99, of Germantown, TN, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Born in Memphis, TN on April 4, 1926, to the late Willard and Cordie Cook, Sudie carried a warm spirit that touched everyone she met; never meeting a stranger. She was known for her smiling nature and living by “Smile at the World, and the World will smile with you.”
She had a love for traveling and enjoyed seeing new places and making memories along the way. She also loved spending time in the bowling alley, where laughter and friendly competition were always part of the game. A proud member of the Lady Shriners, she valued her friendships and fellowships she made along the way.
More than anything, she will be remembered for her kindness and joyful spirit.
In addition to her parents, Sudie is preceded in death by her husband, William “Buddy” Davis, Jr.; daughters, Cindy Lipscomb and Donna Sue Davis; and granddaughters, Rainey Lipscomb and Lacey Lipscomb.
Left to cherish Sudie’s memory are her son, Tim Davis (Margie) and son-in-law, Mat Lipscomb; granddaughters, Jesse Anne Lipscomb and Melinda Harris (Jeff); great-grandchildren; Tanner Harris and Avery Harris (Alexandria); great great-granddaughter, Magnolia Harris; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Ms. Davis will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The service will begin following visitation, at 12:00 PM. The burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
