Steve Wargo's Obituary
STEVE WARGO, 89, retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers, of Lake Cormorant, MS, died November 4, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto. Mr. Wargo was a Purple Heart recipient after being injured during WWII in Guam. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara D. Wargo, and second wife, Mildred C. Wargo. He is survived by his stepdaughters, Linda Specht (Daniel) of Bartlett, TN and Darlene Bringle (Greg) of Covington, TN; sons, David Wargo of Lake Cormorant, Ron Wargo and Dennis Wargo both of Memphis; stepson, Dickie Ward (Rhonda) of Oklahoma City, OK; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. Mr. Wargo was a proud parent and grandfather to all of his family.
