Stephen Louis MIller's Obituary
Stephen “Steve” Louis Miller of Bartlett, TN passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 73 surrounded by loved ones on the morning of February 27, 2023 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on August 26, 1949 to Louis and Bernadette Miller in Alton, IL. He was the oldest child with two sisters (Jayne Shea and Margaret Adams) and one brother (Jeff Miller). He married his high-school sweetheart, Mary Millitello, on December 18, 1970. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in June of 1972. He moved with Mary to Memphis, TN in 1977 where they raised four wonderful children together; Amie Maurice (Jerome Maurice), Angela Moore (Tim Moore), Zachary Miller, and John Miller. They also had the pleasure of helping to raise two of their granddaughters: Victoria Wynne (John Wynne) and Autumn Madewell. He retired from Pemko Manufacturing in 2014 after working there for more than 30 years. He enjoyed his retirement by playing golf, traveling the United States (especially in Michigan), working on his garden, going on the occasional cruise, and losing at card games (ok maybe he didn’t really enjoy losing so much).
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00PM at St Anne Church at 706 S Highland St in Memphis, TN. If you wish to remember him with flowers, we ask that you send them to his home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation towards pancreatic cancer research via give.cancerresearch.org or to the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center via salvationarmymemphis.org
He is survived by three of his children, five grandchildren (including Jessica Moore, Christian Nash, and Amelia Miller), one great grandchild, and three siblings.
