Stella embodied the meaning of her name, “star”. Vivacious, charismatic, and one of a kind, she became instantaneously famous and loved wherever she went.Stella was a generous philanthropist and loyal supporter of the Arts and education in the Memphis community and surrounding areas. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother of two generations of Menke’s, and was the unwavering and indomitable matriarch of the Menke family.Selfless and always taking care of those around her, Stella touched the lives of everyone she knew. Stella is a blessing, and we are so lucky to have had her in our lives. Stella requested that those who know and love her celebrate her passing. In lieu of flowers Stella loved the Memphis Botanic Gardens and the Church Health Center. Alternatively, show someone love and kindness. Both the city of Memphis and the world suffer a great loss today and forever.Services will be held Sunday, March 9th at 1:30pm at the Memorial Park Funeral Home.
