Sonny Ulm's Obituary
Sonny Ulm was born and raised in Blytheville, Arkansas. As a young boy, he built model airplanes and competed in many competitions.
In 1961, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he worked for Kroger as a meat cutter. He retired form Kroger after 32 years as a meat merchandiser.
Sonny loved spending time with his family. He adored his grandkids. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and working in the yard. He was a master craftsman at refinishing and building furniture. He also would often do what we call piddling.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, his daughter, Tiffany and her husband Jimmy Ross., his stepdaughter, Rhonda his grandchildren, Collin and Ray Ross, step granddaughter, Sadie, his great grandchildren, Haven and Forrest Ross, and one niece, Tina Gray. He also leaves behind many close friends.
He was reunited in Heaven with his father, Oren Albert Ulm, Sr., mother, Mary Jane Ulm, and his sisters, Joelene King and Dorothy Jean Poppleton.
Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
