Silvio Mensi's Obituary
Silvio Mensi, 82, passed away at his home with his loving wife at his side on Sunday March 21, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee October 14, 1927 and as an infant moved back to Allessandria, Italy with his family. He remained in Italy until after graduating from high school, when he moved back to the United States. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn; son, David W. Mensi, daughter-in-law, Jennifer R. Mensi, grandson Jonathan; daughter, Dianne C. Reed, son-in-law, Howard J. Reed, granddaughters, Alyssa, Hayley, Gillyann, and Alyxandria; and brothers George Mensi and Joe Mensi. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 also at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Poplar Avenue. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society: 4445 Malone Road, Memphis, TN 38118.
