Shiu Wah Kan's Obituary
Mr. Shiu Wah Kan, 82, of Germantown, TN passed away Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville. He was born August 8, 1928 in Shilong, Guangxi, China. Mr. Kan was a loving husband to his wife Fung Young Kan; loving father to his four children and their spouses, Tony Gan (Dee Dee), Jesse Gan (Michelle), Matt Kan (Xiao Zhang) and Lee Kan (Simon); loving grandfather to eight grandchildren; and loving brother to two sisters. Mr. Kan graduated from Wuhan University in 1953. He worked as a civil engineer for the Fourth Harbor Engineering Co. of China Communications Construction Co., Ltd from 1953 to 1987. In Sept. 1987, Mr. Kan moved to US. He was employed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. until he retired in 1998. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time at 10:00 am Saturday July 23, 2011 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Riverside Chapel with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
