Shirley Louise Parnell, whose sweetness and kindness blessed the lives of so many, passed away late in the evening of April 9th at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN at the age of 86. Her daughter Cindy Howard and niece Gina Read Obituary
I am so sorry to hear about Shirley. I first met her and her husband in 1959 when they lived in Whitehaven. Her husband "Jack" and I were ham radio people. I did get over to visit with Shirley a couple of times after Jack passed away. She at this time was in such great spirit and working back in her backyard with the plants.
The first time I met her was at their home in Whitehaven and she brought out a small baby boy not more than 20 inches long and his name was "Chris",
yes, Shirley and Jack were so happy....
I kept up with Shirley and Jack throughout all the years both in our hobby and work. I worked with Jack at WMC-TV/Radio for many years....
I look forward some day meeting up with them once again in heaven.
We will have many memories to talk about....God Bless Shirley and yes, Jack as well.....Skip Morris
