Lownes, Shirley Ann's Obituary
Shirley Ann Herring Lownes, age 80, passed away on September 2, 2025 after a battle with kidney disease.
She was born October 23, 1944, to the late Thomas Jackson Herring and Ruth Butts Jackson.
Mrs. Lownes leaves behind her husband or 57 years, Robert Paul Lownes, Jr.; her children, Jennifer Ann White (Clint) and Robert Paul (Robby) III; one grandchild, Connor Lownes; her siblings Mary Carolyn Herring Helms, Thomas J. Herring, and Kathy Herring Williamson.
Shirley was active an active member at Advent Presbyterian Church and spent many years working for their Mother's Day Out program. Loving on the children and the friendships she made were her greatest joys.
In retirement, she and Bob liked to travel with their RV and spend time with their family.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to the Kidney Foundation.
She will be loved and missed by all.
