Shirley Anne Jackson Rich, 78, passed away January 29, 2017. Mrs. Rich earned her Master’s degree from Memphis State University and was a retired Elementary School Counselor. She also enjoyed being a textile artist and quilter. Sh Read Obituary
We were neighbors of Shirley and Lyndall for almost 20 years. They were the sweetest, most inclusive couple around and we always enjoyed them. Shirley and I walked together occasionally and she always had such colorful stories about her daughters and grandkids. The world has lost a very bright light and we will miss her.
I taught with Mrs. Rich at Hope Sullivan Elementary School in Desoto County. She was always professional with faculty and staff members. Mrs. Rich truly had a heart for children and their families. She was caring, confidential, and treated every student and family with dignity and respect. She was an exemplary educator.
