Shirley Flint's Obituary
Shirley Flint was born on November 27, 1934, to Jack and Ione Flint and died on October 27, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Mary "Pat" Miller, Catherine Flint, Ione "Snookie" Mason and Jack Flint, Jr. She is survived by her nieces, Jackie Saunders (Eric), Vivian Mason, and Erle Schyler, (Phil) and a nephew, John Nelson Flint, Jr. She is also survived by four great nephews, Mason Cash, Chris Cash, Matthew Saunders, and Nick Saunders.
Shirley graduated from Central High School and Memphis State University. She taught at Memphis City Schools for twenty years and partnered with her sister, Snookie, and friend, Virginia Pretti, to build a number of fine homes in East Memphis and Cordova. The name of their company was Contemporary Homes, Inc.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Please send any gifts in her memory to that church.
There will be a visitation 10:00 AM Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with graveside service at 11:00 AM in Memorial Park Cemetery.
