Shirley Fay Easley's Obituary
Shirley Fay Easley passed away on January 15th, 2023 at her home in Bartlett, TN. Shirley was born on August 23rd, 1925 in Crenshaw, MS to Jewel and Leroy Burford. She shared marriage with James E. Washam Sr. for nearly 45 years. Shirley and James raised two children, James Jr. and Donna. Together, they founded and ran a successful automotive business that would be family ran for more than 50 years, Jimmy Washam Motors, Inc. Years after the passing of James Sr., Shirley shared nearly 25 years of marriage with Floyd Easley. Shirley was a devout Christian who served the Lord as a long-time member of Schoolfield Methodist Church in Frayser, TN and later Ellendale Methodist Church in Bartlett, TN. She was proceeded in death by her parents, as well as James Sr. and Floyd. She is survived by her daughter Donna Haley, her son James E. Washam Jr., and three grandchildren. She is also survived by three step children: Doug Easley, Bethany Overton, and Ron Easley. Services will be on Thursday January 26 at 2:00pm with a visitation prior at 1:00 at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN.
