Shirley Dunavant's Obituary
Shirley Ronza Dunavant, 76, an accomplished pianist, artist, and entrepreneur died February 22, 2009 at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Shirley was a native Memphian and graduate of Southside High school class of 1950. She was an Art and Music Major at Memphis State University and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Shirley is widely known for her fabulous artwork depicting Memphis skylines and scenes. She is most recently known for her culinary creations as founder of Valenza Pasta in Mid-Town Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Clyde Dunavant, and is survived by her three daughters Sharon Benscoter, Kathey Cianciola, and Lisanne Marshall; her sons-in-laws Bob Benscoter, Danny Cianciola, and Tom Marshall; and her three grandchildren; Jacob Kee, Austin White, and Oscar Marshall.
