Shirley Bicknell's Obituary
Shirley Shoults Bicknell peacefully passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Trezevant Terrace in Memphis, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Bennett Bicknell. She leaves her daughters: Cynthia Bicknell and Stephenie Updegraff (Danny), and a son Dr. Bennett William Bicknell. She also leaves four granddaughters: Stephenie and Nicole Jackson and Sarah and Amelia Updegraff. Shirley was a native of Memphis and was a longtime member of Independent Presbyterian Church. In her earlier years she worked for Union Planters Bank and the rest of her life she was devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed. The family welcomes you to her visitation on Tuesday, November 9, from 5-6pm with funeral services held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 11:30am. Both are to be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Shirley would be pleased if those who wish to remember her would choose to send either flowers or a contribution to the Church Health Center, Friends for Life or a charity of choice.
