Shirley Ann Bacon's Obituary
Shirley Ann Bacon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. Born to Roy Cebaskin and Addie Mae McBroom on August 1, 1936, in Monroe, Louisiana,
Shirley spent her early years in Monroe before moving to Memphis, Tennessee, with her husband.
A devoted and longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Shirley's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She enjoyed a fulfilling career at Smith and Nephew, where she made many lifelong friends before retiring. An avid reader, Shirley found joy and solace in the pages of the Bible.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Woodrow "Woody" Bacon; her daughters, Stacy Ann Bacon and Cindy Leigh Bacon-Myers; her cherished grandchildren, Leigh Ann Fisher (Joe), Noah Venoy Myers, and great grandchildren, Audrey Douglas Fisher, Annabelle Sage Fisher, and Ava Victoria Fisher. She also leaves behind a great-great-grandson, Ashton Joseph Fisher. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her grandchild, Gabrielle Myers.
Shirley's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
The family invites friends to gather Saturday March 22, 2025, for visitation at 12:00pm. Memorial services will follow at 1:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN 38119. A graveside service will be held at the Bacon Family Cemetery in Rogersville Tennessee at a later date.
