Sheryl Renee Fisher-Collier's Obituary
Sheryl Renee Fisher-Collier was born on June 21, 1962 in Memphis, TN to the late Edward Fears Sr. and Eleanor Jean Fisher. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ with family.
Sheryl grew up in the Foote Homes Housing Projects and attended Leath Elementary, Porter Jr. High and finished her educational tenure at Booker T. Washington High School all in the City of Memphis.
Sheryl held a few jobs including The Bubblegum factory, Gridley’s, and the Shelby County Election Commission, which gave her the opportunity to connect with people as she never met a stranger that she didn’t like.
In 1990, she married Kent Collier Sr. and shortly after her youngest children were born. She decided to move her family to Horton Garden/Northaven Community where she was adored as the neighborhood candy lady.
Sheryl joined The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter- Day Saints in 2011. During her time as a member, she became a loving sister to all who served with her. She assisted with the Children’s ministry, food pantry and the Cleaning ministry and cherished the time spent with her church family and pastor, Bishop James E. Singleton.
Sheryl loved to cook and entertain her family and friends, especially her grand children. At a birthday party or holiday celebration, she could be seen on the dance floor smiling, laughing and showing off her moves. Her beautiful smile and loveable huge heart caused her to be beloved and respected by many.
