My sister was always trying to do things with me even with the age difference She taught me how to play double canasta and it was a fun times for us both . During my high school years my biology teacher had a project for each of us in my class. We were to collect 50 leaves and put them on paper along with the name and scientific name under them . Simple right?? Not for Sherry , Sherry drove me to every park, college campus in Memphis and helped me collect not 50 but 100 different leaves . We got them arranged in alphabetical order in a true photo album with the plastic sleeves with black background and placed 3 to 4 leaves per page front and back with the name and scientific name typed with colored construction paper under each leaf. It was magnificent. When my teacher saw it he was amazed at the beauty and detail of this collection. If anyone’s seen The Christmas Story with Ralpie giving his teacher the gift basket ? It was better than that. He took it to every teacher and principal and had it placed in the school trophy case until I graduated. That was a memory that she help me make that I will never forget . Sherry, my sister was a pain on my tail sometimes but God help me I loved her with all my heart . We had difficulty connecting sometimes but we knew how we felt about each other.
