Sherie Renee Howell's Obituary
Sherie Renee Howell, 66, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Born in Hammond, Indiana to Wade and Faye Howell, she devoted her life to ending childhood cancer through her research work at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She retired after 40 years of service in January of 2025. During her time at St. Jude, she wrote many scientific publications to aid in the development of a more sustainable approach to cancer treatment.
While not at work, Sherie dedicated her time to raising her two children. They spent their time together making messes in the kitchen baking, traveling around the world, watching their favorite movies, and making frequent Home Depot trips. Watching them grow up was one of her greatest and favorite accomplishments.
Sherie found joy in spending her time with her beloved dog Hunter. If he wasn’t occupying the space on her lap, she was piecing together puzzles, planning the set up for her next holiday village, tackling a major home project she came up with, or soaking in the view on her front porch. She cherished the time spent with family, especially recently with her three granddaughters who will continue to feel her love through those who knew her.
Sherie is survived by her brother Tim Howell, her sister-in-law Kristine Cech, her sister Michele Howell, her daughter Tiffany Reagh Pickel, her son in law Steven Pickel, her son James Reagh, her daughter in law Haley Reagh and her three granddaughters Andersyn and Everly Pickel & Piper Reagh.
She is preceded in death by her sister Sandra Howell, her mother Faye Howell, and her father Wade Howell.
The graveside service for Sherie will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, beginning at 12:00pm. Friends are encouraged to gather inside the funeral home beginning at 11:30am.
