Shelia Dianne Lockhart Roper's Obituary
Shelia Diane Lockhart Roper was born in Memphis, Tennessee on
February 10, 1964 and entered Heaven’s gates on January 27, 2021.
Shelia was a proud and loving mother to Nicholas James Harrington and Savannah Grace Roper, and an adored grandmother to Brock J. Harrington. Shelia was also known as “Momma” and “Mimi”, courtesy of her children and grandson, which she loved and embraced. She was the light of their lives and was commonly referred to as their best friend. Shelia was a devout Christian who enjoyed studying scripture, spreading God’s word, and serving him through acts of kindness and charity. Shelia was described by her friends and loved ones as gentle, loving, selfless, and most importantly, compassionate. Many that were close to Shelia aspired to spread kindness just as she did, or as she would say, “to live like Jesus”. Shelia overcame many obstacles in her life which fed her strength and faith. She inspired her children each day, and their hope is to continue her legacy. Shelia was beautiful, both inside and outside and was cherished by many. Her laugh was contagious, her smile lit up a room, and her deep blue eyes were captivating. Shelia Diane Lockhart Roper will never be forgotten, and her memory will live on through her family and many loved ones.
Sheila’s favorite scripture gives us hope and strength as we grieve her loss here on Earth.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
