Shelby Lee Honey's Obituary
Shelby Lee Honey, 26, of Cordova, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Cordova, Tennessee.
Shelby was born on January 18, 1994, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was later a resident of Mercer, TN, Jackson, TN, and more recently, the Memphis metropolitan area. She was a loving, devoted mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, and a loyal friend to many. Her sweet and caring personality made Shelby a delight to be around. She was generous and always willing to help a friend in need. A captivating beauty, she possessed a larger-than-life personality. She had a natural ability to grab the attention of everyone around her when she entered a room. Her friends and family describe her as a funny, adventurous, free spirit with an infectious laugh and radiant smile. Everyone who knew Shelby appreciated her enthusiasm for the Florida Gators. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, Chandler Pierce Barham of Cordova, TN; life partner, Jose Manuel Torres; mother and step-father, Teresa and Bobby Herndon, Jr. of Moscow, TN; her father, Christopher Honey of Bend, OR; maternal grandparents, Sandra and George Kocsis of Wentzville, MO; paternal grandmother, Joanne Lamont of NC; paternal grandfather, Randy (Gail) Honey of Oakfield, TN; sister, Ashley Huey Anthony of Rutherford, TN; brothers, Zachary (Rachel) Huey of Burlison, TN; Hayden Herndon of Memphis, TN; David Honey of MS; Wesley Honey of Memphis, TN; nieces, Autumn Feddersen of Rutherford, TN; Aubrey Huey of Burlison, TN; uncles, Kevin Kocsis of Tahlequah, OK; Kirk (Karen) Kocsis of Arlington, TN; Chris (Jill) Kocsis of Wentzville, MO; and numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by an uncle, Keith Kocsis; maternal great-grandparents Nina and John Kocsis; and paternal great-grandparents Billy Joe and Mildred Jean.
