Sheila Balton Robinson's Obituary
Sheila Balton Robinson, 76, died December 24, 2009. Birthdays were so special to Sheila so it was befitting that the Lord called her home on the Eve of His birthday. Sheila was a woman of strong faith and compassion. She prayed the rosary every day. She was born October 12, 1933 in Memphis, TN to the late Grace Collins Balton and Frank T. Balton Sr. She was a graduate of St. Agnes Academy where she sang in several musical productions. She attended Maryville College in St. Louis, MO. She married her high school sweetheart, PM “Monte” Robinson, Jr. She was a devoted and very loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and friends were the center of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John C. “Jake” Balton. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Monte, her three daughters Lynn Robinson Shea, Cathy Robinson Sachse (Tom), Leslie Robinson Jamieson (Ronnie); three sons, Robert Brian Robinson, Randal Balton Robinson (Beth), and PM “Pete” Robinson, III. She cherished and leaves ten adoring grandchildren, Wesley Morgan, Hailey Robinson, Bryce Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Alex Robinson, Brent Robinson, Christopher Jamieson, Sara Kathryn Jamieson, Stacy Sachse, and Ryan Sachse; and on great-grandchild, Riley McCormack. Sheila is also survived by her sister, Grace Mary Rutstein, and her brother Frank T. Balton, Jr. Sheila was a generous person and supporter of the Monastery of St. Clare, The Union Mission, The Memphis Food Bank, and the Church Health Center.
