Sharon Morris Lewis' Obituary
Sharon Morris Lewis, 55, of Lakeland passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Sharon was born on June 7, 1966 in Memphis, TN and was a beloved daughter of Steve and Libbie Morris. She attended Germantown High School and went on to complete a bachelor’s degree from Memphis State University. She was a proud employee of FedEx.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Steve, her mother, Elizabeth, her brother, Randy, and her four-legged babies. She is survived by her loving husband Larry Lewis, her 2 children, Kevin Pasley (Tatyana) and Allie Pasley, her bonus children Dustin Lewis (Amanda), Kevin Lewis (Brittany), and Emily Whaley (Billy) and her five grandchildren. Sharon was a cherished sister and is also survived by her siblings Carol Preuss (Ron), Keith Morris (Connie), Terri Lamberth (Chuk), Joanie Cunningham (John), Susan Shaw (Tim), and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon felt that she was blessed with the most wonderful life and looked forward to every new day. Anyone that has ever met her would tell you that she lit up every room she was in long after she had even left. Sharon will be remembered as a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, co-worker, mentor, and a compassionate friend to many. In her own words, she “has never met a stranger.” She will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Sharon had a passion for outdoor activities, such as fishing, boating, hiking, camping, bird watching, and gardening. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed family game nights. Sharon was a proud member of The Refuge Church in Lakeland, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or West Cancer Foundation in memory of Sharon. The West Cancer Foundation provides lymphedema and post-mastectomy assistance to uninsured and low income women through the Pink Ribbons Boutique. The family appreciates all of the love and care that West Cancer Center provided.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, August 6 from 1:00 pm until 1:45pm at Hope Presbyterian Church, 8500 Walnut Grove Road in Cordova. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 pm at the church. The committal service will immediately follow via an escorted cortege at Ebenezer Cemetery in Williston, Tennessee.
