Sean McDaniel Hannah's Obituary
Sean McDaniel Hannah, 34, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on June 16, 2025. Born in Memphis, TN, Sean was a deeply adored youngest son, baby brother, fun-loving uncle, and beloved nephew.
Sean was a Regional Sales Manager for Hannah Sales Company, a family-run business started by his father. He was a lifelong University of Memphis Tigers fan who attended as many football and basketball games as possible. Sean cherished his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he spoiled unrelentingly. He was a genuine ‘character’ who enjoyed his music, fishing, but above all, making others laugh. Generous almost to a fault, Sean would help anyone in need, from a homeless person he encountered randomly in a parking lot to his beloved and close friends. What you saw is what you got with Sean, and we loved him for it.
Sean is survived by his parents, Terri & Rick Hannah; his sister Kristin Hannah; his sister-in-law and brother Mary (Willson) & Jeff Hannah; his sister-in-law and brother Caroline (Brown-Smithwick) & Cliff Hannah; his brother Taylor Hannah; his sister and brother-in-law Hayley (Hannah) & Timothy Soto; his aunts and uncles Gwen & Skip Hannah, Cindy & Randy Krag, and Kathy & Tommy Pearson; and his nieces and nephews Brent Hannah, Catherine Hannah, Gabby Soto, Sammy Soto, Eli Smithwick, Ethan Smithwick and Ellie Smithwick.
Services for Sean will be held on Friday June 20, 2025 at First Evangelical Church, 735 Ridgelake Blvd, Memphis, TN 38120 . Visitation will be held in the sanctuary from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, with the memorial service starting at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Memphis Union Mission at https://www.memphisunionmission.org/donate.
