Scott was seventeen years older than me and lined up perfectly to be a mentor. We belonged to the same hunting club "Hatchie Coon" and shared all the same passions. He was never stingy with advice, in fact, he was rather long-winded with it. I don't remember a single time when he did not take my worries to heart and give his best well thought out opinion. I will miss his long winded stories and kind and engaging manner. God bless him!
Probably 20 years ago out of my boat blind duck hunting on the Tallahatchie River. We saw lots of ducks working a field off the river. Scott directed me to enter with the top of my blind hitting the “No Trespassing” sign. We were wearing the ducks out when a boat approached. I told Scott ok mouth of the South get us out of this while Tammy and I hid.
Next thing I know is Scott negotiating our hunting til we limited out with our promise not to come back!
