Sara Rhea's Obituary
SARA HARRELL RHEA, 94, passed away on October 24, 2012 after an extended illness. Born in Rosemark, Tennessee to the late Charles Everett Harrell and Elizabeth Cooper Harrell, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Hal S.Rhea, as well as her brother Glenn Lamont Harrell (Margery) and sister Verda Lucretia Harrell McQuiston (Ed). She is survived by her three children, Carol Rhea Ford, Hal S. Rhea, Jr. (Sally), and Maizie Rhea. She also leaves her six grandchildren, Chris Ford, Clint Ford (Angela), Blake Rhea, Kelly Rhea, Wade Rhea, and Rhea Keller, and six great-grandchildren; Alton Ford, Cullen Ford, GeorgeAnna Ford, Cooper Ford, Sumner Ford, and Montgomery Griffin. The Rhea family wishes to acknowledge the loving attention that her caregivers, Yasmin Watson, Laura Gates, Emma Harris and Gloria Chism provided during the last years of her declining health. Their dedication and concern was greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. Sara was raised in Rosemark and graduated Salutatorian from Bolton High School. She was an active member of Idlewild Presbyterian church for over 60 years, and along with her husband, was a long standing member of the LeMaster Sunday School Class. She also taught Sunday School to elementary children, and was active in the Women of the Church along with being a member to Thalia Circle of the Kings’ Daughters andSons. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the main sanctuary of Idlewild Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow.
