Sandra Anne Gipson's Obituary
Sandra Anne Harmon Gipson, age 81 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on June 7, 2024.
She was born on February 4, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late L.C. and Connie Harmon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Blair Harmon and ex-husband and close friend David Gipson.
Anne graduated from Messick High School in 1961, attended University of Memphis, formerly Memphis State briefly, and worked for St. Francis Hospital for forty-two years in the Business Office and IPA Department. She previously lived in Jackson, Tennessee.
Survived by her three children, Tina Gipson, Leslie Logan (Jeff) and Michael Gipson (Megan Ferrone); six grandchildren, Alicia Michael, Tiffany Ross (Justin), Kelly Spaniel (Tyler), Parker Logan (Hannah), Reagan Logan and Andrew Gipson; eight great - grandchildren and sister-in-law, Sara Harmon.
She was a remarkable individual who embraced life’s simple pleasures. She had a zest for travel, enjoyed dining out with friends at restaurants and theaters, and loved attending plays. Anne was also passionate about crafting, gardening, and supporting local festivals. She had an unwavering loyalty to the Memphis Tigers and Memphis Grizzlies.
But above all, Anne cherished her family. She never missed a family sporting event or recital, and her love for them was immeasurable. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00am in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior to the service starting at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
