Sandra Davis' Obituary
Sandra Jean (Oliver) Davis, 72, of Germantown, Tennessee, went home to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on November 14, 2024. She was born on November 9, 1952, in Moscow, Tennessee. She was an amazing mother, wife, Nana, daughter, sister, and friend. Sandra spent her life assisting others, which was her true passion. It was a rare occurrence to see her without a smile on her face and a tune in her heart.
She spent over thirty years as a high school algebra teacher, the great majority of which were spent at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee. In her “spare” time from teaching and parenting, Sandra spent over fifty years playing piano at various area churches, including the last thirty years at her beloved Raleigh United Methodist Church where she also served as choir director.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Calvin “Red” Oliver, and mother, Dorothy “Dot” Oliver (Fortune). She is survived by her husband, Ron Davis of Germantown, Tennessee, children, Kimberly (Bill) McKeown of Memphis, Tennessee, Stephanie Bradshaw (Derek Bowman) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Tyler (Jennifer) Davis of Kingston, Tennessee, grandchildren, James Davis and Katherine Davis, brothers, Donald Oliver and Van (Debbie) Oliver, nephews, Jack (Taylor) Oliver, Stephen Oliver, and Andrew Davis, and nieces, Allie (Brent) Rooker and Abby Davis.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Memorial Park in Memphis, Tennessee. Sandra’s Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Raleigh United Methodist Church, which is located at 3295 Powers Road in Memphis, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Raleigh United Methodist Church.
