Sam Seidman's Obituary
SAM SEIDMAN, 92, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, surrounded by those he loved. Born December 8, 1919 in New York City, he served bravely in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Later he worked 40 years for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring. He was a longtime member of Heritage Baptist Church (Thrifthaven). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and son, Anne Seidman and Sammy Seidman respectively. He is survived by one brother, Irv Seidman of Elberon, NJ; three daughters, Sandra McKee (Don) of Bartlett, Shirley Seidman of Sarasota, FL, and Janet Lindsey (Bob) of Memphis. He is also survived by four grandsons, Shelley McKee of Memphis, Jason Lindsey of Kansas City, MO, Jeremy Lindsey (Micah) of Arlington, and Jon Lindsey (Erica) of Lakeland, as well as five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, January 12 and funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 13 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment with military honors will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association or Crohn’s Foundation of Memphis. “And Legions Of Angels Take Thee To Thy Rest”.
