Sam Saed's Obituary
Sam Saed, 80, of Memphis passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital on February 3, 2010 following complications from pneumonia. Sam graduated from Tech High School and served with the United States Air Force. He attended the University of Memphis where he was a member of the Veterans Club. He owned and operated Sam Saed Motors and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He also served the Al Chymia Shrine as a Thirty Second Degree Mason. Mr. Saed was preceded in death by his mother, Electa Bishop Saed; his father, Samuel A. Saed; and his sister Rema Saed Ruhl. He is survived by his wife Anita Wright Saed; his four daughters, Sandy Leinberg, Penny Saed, Stacey (John) Ferguson, and Stephanie Lannom; and his nieces, Sherry, Tammy and Heather Tanner. He was also the grandfather to six grandsons, Stefan Leinberg, Sam Lannnom, Jake Lannom, Robert Ferguson, Reid Ferguson and Kieffer Ferguson. Sam’s time spent with friends and family were among his favorites. He also enjoyed good music and traveling with his wife Anita to their home in Destin, Florida. The family extends a debt of gratitude to the kind attention from the employees of Quince Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he lived for the past year.
