Sally Wallace Hook's Obituary
Sally Wallace Hook, 93, died peacefully in her sleep Sunday morning. She leaves her sons Richard Gary West of Memphis and Fort Myers, Florida, and Frederick Wallace Smith of Memphis. Her middle son Vernon Thomas West preceded her in death in 1977.She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will dearly miss “Mimi” as she was widely known.Mrs. Hook, daughter of Thomas Arthur Wallace and Florence Love Wallace, was born in Jackson, Tennessee on September 6th, 1919. She was one of eight children, all now deceased, and was widowed three times.She was active in a number of clubs, civic organizations, charities and St. John’s Episcopal Church over her long life.Services were private.Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
