Our beloved mother, Sydney Lynne Bumpus, transitioned to eternal glory on March 20th, 2026, at the age of 75. Lynne Bumpus embodied unwavering faith in our Lord and was a devoted wife, mother, and a cherished Mimi to all that crossed her path. She was known for her guiding light and inspiration to all, and a momma to many.
She dedicated her life to nurturing her children and all the children she cared for in her daycare over the many years, and the abundance of kids that she became MiMi/Momma to. She was the true heart of the neighborhood.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Alicia Bumpus (Benji Heffner), Weston Bumpus (Kelly Bumpus), and Jamie Hampster. Her treasured grandchildren: Madison, Weston Jr., Kyler, Gracie, Raelynn, Waylon, Daisy, Maisey, Collin, Evelynn, Thomas, and Brandon. Her great‑granddaughter, Scarlett. And her siblings: Randi Walker (Gail), Allen Walker (Pam), and Rick Walker (Suzie).
She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband Frank W. Bumpus; her siblings Pat Albonetti (Albert) and Marvin Walker; and her parents Sydney + Margaret Walker.
