Jim and family: Carroll and I send love and sympathy. Fifty-three years ago this past May, Ruth sang at our wedding. Carroll was a secretary to Jim in the Conference Program Office at the time. Four years later, Jim was our District Superintendent. We remember having you as meal guests at the Adamsville parsonage when Bill and Paul were young boys. We recall so many good times with your family across the years. Heaven is blessed with Ruth’s presence as we celebrate her wonderful life here, although we grieve because of her physical absence. Dear Bill, Paul and Dr. Mulroy, I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I have such happy and vivid memories of her and your family when Brother Mulroy was the Lexington District Superintendent, and you all would visit our church in Selmer. “Miss Ruth” would always sing for us, and I guess hers was one of the first professionally trained voices I’d ever heard. She blessed so many with her music! I know that even in your grief, there is much to celebrate about her life! Know that many, like me, will be holding you all in our thoughts and prayers.
