Ruth Dollar Cook's Obituary
Ruth Dollar Cook of Germantown, TN went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2018. She was born August 4, 1924. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 76 years, Frank E. Cook; daughter, Carolyn Cook Johnson (son-in-law, Jerry Johnson deceased); grandson, Bayne T. Williams; and sister, Doris D. Cooley (brother-in-law, Bud deceased) of Sun City, Arizona. She leaves many nieces and nephews who dearly loved “Aunt Ruth”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Matthews Dollar. Ruth lived by faith each day, loved her friends, and cherished her family. Ruth brought joy everywhere she went and the joy she gave was beyond measure. She loved the Lord and His word above all else. Ruth belonged to Central Church and she and Frank were the oldest couple at Central. Her genuine love for others was both personal and passionate. Everyone could tell she was keenly interested in them. She loved growing roses and watching the wild life outside her home. Some of her fondest memories were family reunions, square dancing, visiting her daughter’s lake home, and traveling with her husband, friends, and family. Visitation will be on Friday, June 29 at 1:30 pm followed by funeral services at 2:30 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
