R.T. Renner's Obituary
R.T. Renner, 74, of Collierville passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Springate Health & Rehab-Memphis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving 12 years including a tour in Vietnam where he flew F100’s. After his tour in Vietnam Mr. Renner became an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration retiring after 40 years of service. Mr. Renner was a member of the F100 Club, Super Saber Society and enjoyed having luncheons with the FAA Retiree Group. He loved his occupation and anything about airplanes. Mr. Renner was deeply loved by his loving wife and family and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Faye Renner; and is survived by his wife of 13 years, Glenda Renner; children and their spouses, Robin Reed (Rick) of Olive Branch, MS, Donna Carter (Jeff) of Collierville and Robert Renner (Conny) of Eagle River, Alaska; Glenda’s daughter, Pam and step-daughter, Teresa Burkhart (Mitch); 11 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Sunday, April 1, 2012 and a funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Monday, April 2, 2012 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery-Memphis.
