My fondest memory of “Grandad” is from nearly 5 years ago when he and “Gran” welcomed me and my two babies into this family with what seemed like not a moment’s hesitation. I’ll forever be grateful for the brief time The Lord granted me with him, and inspired by the way he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. I hope at the end of my life I feel like I did even half as well as him as a husband and father.
