Rosemary Sample Eubanks' Obituary
Mrs. Rosemary Sample Eubanks of Germantown, Tennessee passed away on May 18, 2023 in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was born on September 13, 1948 in Sheffield, Alabama to the late David Robert Sample and Bessie Mae Counts Sample.
Rosemary and Bobby were married December 14, 1979 at Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Shortly thereafter they moved to Wake Forest, NC for Bobby to complete his Masters of Divinity, with languages at Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Rosemary worked for the North Carolina Brotherhood Commission. After completion of his degree, they moved back to Memphis in 1982
where she eventually began her teaching career.
She taught at Evangelical Christian School, ECS, Macon Road Campus, for 22 plus years. Her passion and calling was teaching, especially the Middle School, 6th graders. She loved to teach, loved ECS, loved her fellow teachers and especially her students. She poured herself into the students, teaching passionately from the perspective of a Biblical World View, the Physical and Earth Sciences She always pointed her students to the King of the Universe, the creator, Jesus Christ.
Rosemary was also equally passionate in her marriage to Bobby. She was always bright, loving, caring, and teaching and mostly patient, making her house a home where caring, compassion, and warmth were always present. Her fingerprints and loving care were always in every place of the home. Everything about her was truly a treasure; her value to Bobby and their home was truly "priceless."
The last 6 years of her life Rosemay attended Redeemer Evangelical Church in Collierville. She loved the church, Pastor Jimmy Latimer, Johnathan Matthews and the music, and all the members there, especially the Sunday School Class.
She leaves behind her husband of almost 44 years, Bobby, her Father-in-Law Bob Eubanks, Sister-In-Law Vicki Travis and Larry, and their sons Christopher Travis, wife Ally, and their daughter Elise, and Tyler Travis, wife Chelsea.
Her light, joy, encouragement, love, commitment, and service to the Kingdom of God, her marriage to Bobby, and love for Jesus shown in her life will be forever missed.
A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
