Rosemary Goree Beckett's Obituary
Rosemary Goree Beckett, 67, passed away on September 7, 2018 at Methodist University after a short but courageous battle with Tcell Lymphoma. Our precious Wife, Mom, RoRo, sister, and friend was loved by everyone she met.Rose was a retired preschool teacher who taught hundreds of children not only their letters and numbers, but also about Jesus and His love for them. She was a member of Getwell Church where she blessed many people throughout the years with her beautiful voice.Rosemary was the lead singer of Sugar n Spice in the late 60’s. They were the first all-girl band to win the Battle of the Bands. Her voice continued to bless and entertain people all throughout her life.She leaves her husband of 47 years Ronnie Beckett of Southaven; daughters Ashleigh Beckett Parker (David) of Olive Branch, MS and Courtney Beckett (Zach) of Chattanooga, TN; 4 grandchildren, Allie Rose Parker, Jack Parker, Luke Parker and Jude Parker all of Olive Branch, MS, and sisters, Diane Spinolo, Gwen Vescovo and Jamie Chapman all of Memphis, TN. She also leaves her beloved pets Mr. Skitters and Lucy.
