Rose Shaw's Obituary
Rose Mary Jones Shaw, 72, passed away February 2, 2016. She was born February 20, 1943 in Lexington, TN. She was a graduate of Tredwell High School and retired from the City of Memphis Public Works Division. She served on the board of the Memphis City Employees Credit Union for many years as well as the board of the Mary Galloway Home. She was also an active volunteer in many organizations such as the Wonders Cultural Series and Church Health Center. She was a former member of Bethel United Pentecostal Church and currently a member of The Life Church of Memphis. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wong (David); son, Bryan Shaw (Lindsey); sisters, Ann Adkins, Peggy Scates, Brenda Taylor, and Alberta Sullivan; and grandchildren, Brandon Wong, Allison Wong, Adam Shaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Shaw; parents, Mary Louise Deere and Attice Carl Jones; and brother, John Deere Jones. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 6 at The Life Church, 255 North Highland Street, Memphis, TN 38111. A private family burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
